Online Islamic Study, what it means and how to approach it

The moment you hear this sentence, online Islamic study, you would not believe how the world has rapidly changed paving the way for the science of all types and aspects to spread, including Islamic studies. Islamic studies are one of the fundamentals a Muslim could learn every time to enlighten his/her life. The ample knowledge that such studies contain is countless.

A Muslim may see learning the Islamic studies online as just some sort of fine, superficial learning for the basics only and may not be enough to learn everything in detail, in other words, Muslims may see that the Online approach for learning such studies is just not efficient enough for learning the holy Islamic studies with all of its deep, fruitful and splendiferous explanations.

Surprisingly enough, online Islamic studies have just the exact same merits and even more advantages than attending live with a tutor face to face, with the same efficiency, applicability, and more importantly, depth of apprehension.

What is online Islamic study?

As we have delved enough into the pros that the Online approach has introduced, it is time to know exactly what we are going to learn specifically. Islamic studies are any study that can lend a helping hand to the Muslim to learn and understand more about his religion. They are:

  • Fiqh –
  • The fundamentals of Fiqh
  • Nahw
  • Tafsir
  • Fundamentals of Tafsir –
  • Hadith
  • Language
  • Tajweed
  • Aqidaa –

Why do you need to learn Islamic studies in the first place?

If you travel to a new country, you simply need to learn everything about it, starting from the basic language the people of this specific country use, to traditions, the history, how to treat them, what to do and what to avoid, it is basically anything you need to know to be acquainted with such country. Exactly these same rules imply to our religion, Allah has created us and ordered us to live in this Dunya. In order to live in this Dunya, we need to know why we live in the first place, what is our language which Allah has conveyed his glory words to us. What else to be learned is the characteristics of the righteous Muslim. Just like the Islam is our guide to heaven, Islamic studies are our path to follow for such a goal. Allah has clarified in his Holy Quran the main reason behind creating us as humans and this whole world which is to worship him. In Soret: Al Thariat: And I (Allah) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone).
